Seagrass

I could spend most of my life in the forgotten area between real land and real sea. This range is a bit more about the sea than the land. Initially inspired from snorkeling in very shallow water after a storm, the water was still bit choppy and the sunlight was breaking up and catching the "seagrass" in its light. There were so many colours and reflections jumping around, bizarrely not much blue!. I love the colours, freedom and movement in this range. They have evolved, like so much I do, so that we now have arctic and blossom colourways.

We make the pieces using frits and canes applied to the final gather of glass. When they come out of the annealer, they are hand painted and then etched to give the contrast of the matt and shiny surface qualities.
